Untitled installation (Las Vegas)
First Friday, Las Vegas - September 2008

This installation was made for First Friday - a monthly arts & crafts festival in downtown Las Vegas. For this one-night only exhibition we were allocated a 20x20 foot marquee in the middle of the street.
Central to the space is a large mound of wet clay, kept moist through being sprayed by water throughout the exhibition. A bank of 100 green light bulbs provides the lighting for the space, and in the adjacent corner a television shows a one-hour journey through the Nevada desert, shot through the rear window of our van. A soundtrack of erratic organ music composed by the artists plays from a hidden speaker.
